This paper presents the implementation of a simple parallel algorithm into program modules of the commercial code SAMCEF which employ semi-discretisation technique to analyse axisymmetric structures with non-ax-isymmetric loading and structures with cyclic symmetry. Speedup and efficiency are given for different numbers of processors and different types of computers. A comparison with a sequential well-known mainframe is also given.
