Reservoir Engineering leads to the simulations of multiphase flows in porous media which are usually computed by fully implicit methods. We propose and study a new emerging class of Domain Decomposition preconditioners that allow highly efficient simulations on distributed memory parallel computers such as IBM SP1 and Cray T3D.
