摘要

The behavior and the lifetime of a SiC/SiBC composite in cyclic fatigue at high temperatures (700℃-1200℃) are investigated. The influence of various factors including the temperature, the applied stress, the loading frequency and matrix crack density is examined. The behavior was related to the crack sealing mechanisms and to interphase degradation. Glass formation was evidenced by microscopy and EPMA.
