The mechanical behavior and the lifetime in static fatigue (60-140 MPa) at high temperatures (700℃ to 1200℃) in air were investigated on a 2D woven SiC/SiC composite with a multilayered interphase involving 4 PyC/SiC sequences ((PyC-SiC)_4). The lifetime of the composite with the multilayered interphase was found to be significantly improved over that of the composites with a single PyC layered interphase.
