The multi-criterion evaluation of the hydro-electric generators for upgrading, usingrnweighted average decision making is implemented. A decision criterion is formulatedrnusing weightage of the generators components (attributes) and external factors that canrninfluence the upgrading decision-making. This decision criterion outlines the decisionrnmaking guidelines in form of ranges. The result of generator's condition evaluation isrnused for reliability analysis of generator based on its present condition. This paperrndescribes the evaluation method for generator's main component with sole aim ofrnupgrading.
