Abrasive erosion of the hydraulic components in hydro power stations is a longstanding problem.rnIt is caused by solid particles suspended in the water, with concentrations ranging from hundredsrnof grams to several kilograms per cubic meter, and can result in severe damage. Confronted withrnthis problem, a hydro producer needs an effective, economical solution, which is easy to applyrnand requires minimum downtime.rnProtective coatings generally applied are hard coatings. They are particularly difficult to apply,rnhardly repairable and only provided a limited protection for the turbine. We'll detail soft polymericrncoating properties that keep increasing interest and will become compromising solution torncustomer needs.
