The paper introduces Digital Dujiangyan Project (DDP), the information infrastructure implementation and deployment project aimed at revitalizing the ancient Dujiangyan irrigation system at this information age. First, the authors give a brief introduction on Dujiangyan irrigation system, both on the historical and modern perspective, especially focus is given to the development in recent years when the information infrastructure gradually takes shape; then the conceptual design and system deployment plan for first and second phase implementation is illustrated; next, the construction process is introduced with details in project implementation as well as management and evaluation aspect; finally, the authors make a brief summary and two practical application of DDP.
