摘要

In this paper, the time-variant effect of corrosion wastage on the ultimate strength relating to stiffened panels and hull girder of FPSOs is studied. A time variant corrosion wastage model empirically developed using corrosion measurement database is used to predict the corrosion damages with time. Ultimate strengths of stiffened panels and hull girders for converted FPSOs (single hull type and double hull type) are compared with those for a new-build FPSO. Important insights obtained from the present study are documented.
