摘要

This paper presents advancements in the development of efficient high-power microwave absorber boxes used during high power thermal vacuum (HPTVAC) test of spacecraft payloads. Multiple types of absorber boxes are shown, the pickup horn (PUH), generic pick up horn (GPUH), and Advanced Generic Pickup Horn (AGPUH). The paper describes how the absorber boxes have been modified from being able to handle 2 kW of power to 4 kW while maintaining the same or better functionalities. Also presented is how the AGPUH advancements have been applied to array applications.
