The proposed scheme is a combined approach using Secret Sharing Scheme, Image Key Encryption and Text key Encryption using BWM&AS (Bit wise Masking and Alternate Sequence) operation and Character Repositioning Technique. Four level of encryption techniques have been combined together. In the proposed encryption technique the image key is encrypted using a user defined character positioned text key then that encrypted image key is used to encrypt the original image. Now the encrypted image is divided into N number of shares where each of the shares is again encrypted by unique image key in encryption end. Shares are retrieved from the encrypted shares using appropriate image key during decryption and the encrypted image is generated by taking K number of shares out of N. Lastly, the original image is retrieved by performing BWM&AS operation between the encrypted image key and encrypted image. Thus an attempt is made to enhance the security.
