Simulation of large sets of mobile computers or other wirelessncommunication devices is difficult because of the computationallynintensive models of wireless channels. Parallel simulation would seem tonbe applicable here because of the large computation granularity, but thenlocation based communication topology makes conservative methodsndifficult to implement. This paper considers a novel approach tonimproving lookahead in conservative parallel simulations byndifferentiating between data flow paths in the simulation. Annexperimental study shows that for this application, the techniquenproduces a 70% reduction in null message traffic, with only a 25%nincrease in null message computation overhead, and a consistentnimprovement in parallel performance
