Conventional analysis techniques of queueing systems typicallynassume that the stochastic process under study is already in steadynstate. This assumption is, however, not valid if the life cycle of thenprocess is not large enough. Previous work in transient analysis ofnqueueing systems usually focuses on Markov models.
