How do you know you are ready for concurrent engineering? When you have enough peoplernto work on a project? When the 8 × 10 glossy on the new product comes to you from marketing? When you have money in your account? How about when you have a well-defined idea of the problem that is being addressed and conceptual models for how it might be best solved. If requirements are supposed to focus on the product requirements and the project plan is supposed to focus on the project requirements, where are the two discussed together?
