Optical moving target is a kind of detecting apparatus that can produce parallel optical signals to simulate the far away objects, and then be tracked by the TV tracking systems of the photoelectric theodolites in order to detect their ability of capturing and tracking indoors. Focus on the problem of finding a simple and feasible method to measure the precision of the optical moving target, the structure and the working principle of the original optical moving target, and also the concept and the main methods of auto collimation are introduced. Moreover, the optical moving target which is capable of measuring its own precision is designed with the principle of auto collimation by reconstructing the original optical moving target, and the optical moving target capable of measuring its own precision can measure the values of its special angles continuously and repeatedly in the range of 360° revolving cone-shaped angle, then the measured data are auto read by the reading monitor of the collimating light pipe and memorized in the computer, thus, the precision of the optical moving target will be obtained after data processing. In the end, its working process and advantages are expounded.
