Carbon/carbon composites are considered to be one of the most promising materials for orthopedic and dentalsurgery because of their excellent mechanical properties. In order to make them bioactive, calcium phosphatecoating was applied on the surface of C/C by a novel process of electrodeposition added to ultrasonic wave,named sonoelectrodeposition. It was shown that homogenous, densified and improved adhesive coating wasobtained in different carbon materials and the H2 bubbles evolving needn't be precisely controlled. The processwould provide a promising technology for depositing bioactive calcium phosphate coating on the biocompatiblesubstrate with excellent mechanical properties.
