摘要

In this work, we are interested in improving the directivity of a 5GHz resonant circular patch antenna by exploiting the technology of metamaterials. A lens has been designed based on metamaterial which has a very high refractive index around the resonance frequency of the antenna. It has been placed above the patch antenna. The performance analysis of the lensless and lenticular antenna was performed by simulation with the CST Microwave Studio software. The results of the simulation show the improvement of the directivity, the reflection coefficient and the gain.
