摘要

The present article introduces therecent experience by Framatome-ANP ofdeveloping a large scale engineering projectin China. The so-called GTM project dealswith the studies and the site implementation ofa dozen of major design improvements at theGuangdong Nuclear Power Station on DayaBay site, stemming from the Periodic SafetyReassessment (PSR) carried-out by theUtility.This article focuses on the benefits of sharingwith the Chinese utility the long experience ofthe study of the modification batches 'lot93'and 'VD2' implemented on the French CPY900 Mwe series units and on the confidencegained throughout years of continuous sino-frenchtechnical cooperation that wasestablished by the plant owner in Framatome-ANP'scapabilities to carry-out the successfuldevelopment of the project. IndeedFramatome-ANP involved its Chinesepartners Beijing Institute of NuclearEngineering, China Nuclear Industry 23 rdCompany and Shenzhen Nuclear EngineeringCompany to localize design and erectionactivities. The successful achievement of theGTM studies proved the maturity of theChinese engineering competencies to set-upa sustainable industrial scheme devoted tothe further development of nuclearengineering services in China.
