A large body of literature has shown that Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), due to their opaqueness, are difficult to get access to the credit market. However, SMEs play a vital role in the economy, so most countries have made various efforts to alleviate the problem. In particular, the credit guarantee scheme (CGS) is considered to be an effective method, and Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT) is a good example. This paper introduces KODIT's successful experience to China.
