The ores of Ag-Cu-Pb-Zn polymetallic ore in South China have variety of valuable metallic elementssuch as siver, copper, lead and zinc, etc. The main recoverable target minerals are galena, sphalerite,chalcopyrite, native siver, acanthite, which are finely disseminated within the grain size range of0.01 ~ 0.16 mm, especially for galena and chalcopyrite, the fractions less than 0.02 mm account foraround 30 per cent, therefore fine grinding is needed for the optimum liberation of them. And thepolymetallic ores have high silver dispersivity, and the gangue minerals are mainly feldspar, quartz,calcite.Based on the process mineralogy research and the characteristics of ores, a rational process flowsheet applied is ‘Cu-Pb bulk flotation-- zinc flotation of the bulk flotation tailing, Cu-Pb separationafter the regrinding of Cu-Pb bulk concentrate’. For the raw ores containing Cu 0.18 per cent, Pb1.08 per cent, Zn 0.87 per cent, Ag 156.7 g/t, the copper concentrate obtained contains Cu 23.08 percent and Ag 8872 g/t with Cu recovery 62.91 per cent and silver recovery 27.02 per cent; the leadconcentrate obtained contains Pb 45.33 per cent and silver 3953 g/t with Pb recovery 71.10 per centand Ag recovery 42.54 per cent; the zinc concentrate contains Zn 47.46 per cent and Ag 438 g/t withzinc recovery 62.21 per cent and Ag recovery 3.17 per cent. The total recovery of silver is 72.73 percent. The beneficiation indexes obtained for Cu, Pb, Zn and silver are good.
