摘要

The floatability of minerals is closed related with their crystal chemistry characteristics The crystalchemistry characteristics includes chemical composition, chemical bonds, crystal structure and therelation among them, which decide the surface properties of minerals after dissociating in the solution,and then influence the floatability. So it has very important theoretical significance to study crystalchemistry characteristics of minerals for learning the physical, chemical and surface properties; anddeep study on application of crystal chemistry in flotation is one of important ways for settling outthe separation of some refractory minerals and for developing harmonious technology of mineralprocessing. Methods of research on mineral crystal chemistry include research of crystal structureand cell parameters, calculation of crystal chemical parameters and so on. Computer simulation forflotation is an effective method to grasp the essence of interaction between minerals and flotationreagents, so it is also a crystal chemical method used in flotation. In this paper, a review of theseresearch methods is carried out with some examples taken for illuminatation based on abundantexperimental results.
