The purpose of this article is to develop an adequate simulation submersible motor model. The object of this research is an electric motor with a rated power of 63 kW. Characteristics of the electric motor will be obtained by the experimental method. The parameters of the considered equivalent circuit of the motor are found in the research and are expressed in absolute and relative units. The model was constructed in Matlab Simulink software. Expected results on the basis of modeling and calculation of the research are presented with actual measurement data. In the nominal mode, the difference between the experimental and the calculated data of current are 1.1% but for the active power the difference is 0.4%. The maximum error of measurement on the test benches (is not more than 0.5%) for the small loads of current area is minus 5.8% and can be less with load increasing to 1.6%. Considering the above information the authors conclude that the obtained deviations are less than the tolerances accepted in engineering practice. Therefore the developed simulation model reflects electromechanical processes of asynchronous electric motor adequately.
