For the first time as East Japan Railway Company, we adopted the thyristor changeover switch in the changeover section of Shin-Yono sectioning post. However, Shin-Yono SP has a characteristic that the stray capacitance of the neutral section is large. Therefore, if a 'partial turn-off' phenomenon occurs in the thyristor constituting the changeover switch, in the worst case, it may lead to failure of the equipment. In this paper, we analyzed the conditions under which partial turn-off occurs, focusing on the voltage phase displacement. We also examined the settling and sequence of asynchronous detection relays introduced as a countermeasure.
