摘要

According to the 2001 report by the World Health Organization, that there are so many people suffering from depression that makes depression the fourth of the leading diseases in the world by the number of patients, and will be, in all likelihood, the second by thernyear 2020-only next to the heart disease. Great economic lossrnis caused by depression. It is estimated that the medical burden of the depression has added up to some $60 billions throughout the world. In the U.S.A alone, there are 11 millions of depression-diagnosed patients every year with an economic loss of $43.7 billions annually. According to a co-investigation report by World Health Organization, World Bank and Harvard University, the Chinese medical load of depression has been the second by rank. With the Depression Symptoms as the index sign, we conducted an in-depth study of mental health for occupational populations and its influential factors, by selecting the workers in three Chinese areas: the city of Beijing, the Henan province and the Hebei Province.
