The behavior of partially bonded, partially prestressed concrete beams containing carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) tendons and stainless steel reinforcing bars has been simulated using a simplified theoretical model that is verified by test results. The model is used to carry out a detailed parametric study on the influences of five parameters: unbonded tendon length, ultimate compressive strain of concrete, partial prestressing ratio, effective prestress and percentage of compressive reinforcement on the behavior of the beam. It is seen that generally the influences of the parameters on the behavior of the beam are dependent on the failure mode which may be tendon rupture or concrete crushing.
