摘要

Research on fines in concrete has been reported from countries throughout the world. The amount of fines passing the No. 200 sieve is increasing, and the use of these materials is the top priority of U.S. aggregate producers. Results from several international research studies show that the use of fines can be increased up to 15 percent without significantly affecting the concrete strength. Spain now permits up to 15 percent fines in normal construction and up to 10 percent for more aggressive environments. Similar specifications are being considered for adoption by the European Committee for Standardisation.
