The ASCE Materials Division provides a forum for the transfer of information regarding the aggregate industry to those who design for and specify the use of aggregates. The Aggregate Materials Committee of the Materials Division has developed a status report on concerns regarding aggregate materials. This report will be published in the Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering. Excerpts from this report are presented herein. The aggregates industry is encouraged to continue to address the concerns outlined in this report and take full advantage of the ASCE Materials Division as a forum to reach the architects, engineers, designers, and consultants who specify aggregates.
