The biodegradable PM (PMA-ala)/hydroxyapatite (HAp) nanocomposite was prepared by dispersing needle-like HAp particles into the crosslinked polyanhydride network via generalized intercalation. The conversion of carbon carbon double bonds of multifunctional anhydride monomers can be over 90%, and the HAp needles are distributed homogeneously in the PM (PMA-ala). By increasing the ratio of HAp to PM(PMA-ala), the compres-sive elastic modulus of composite will be improved, and the rate of mass loss during degradation process will become slower.
