In this paper, wind modeling in the new boundary layer wind tunnel of Tokyo Institute of Polytechnics (TIP) was introduced briefly. Based on the test results, windspeed profiles and turbulence intensity profiles corresponding to different terrains defined by the loading code of Japan were simulated successfully. With comparative analysis of the measured data, the effects of blocks and spires on the profiles in this BLWT were presented. Several problems, including the optimal shape of spires, the consistency of power spectral density and the calculation methods for length scales were discussed. Finally, some advices about modeling wind in BLWT and processing the measured data were given for future reference.
