摘要

The characteristics of turbulent wakes past a circular cylinder are studied by a fractional step finite element method and the K - epsilon turbulent model. The numerical simulations show that the vortex shedding period is increasing as the Reynolds number decreases. Both instantaneous velocity field and time mean velocity field are presented, the results obtained by numerical simulation are compared with that of the experiment.
