In this paper, the flow characteristics for dilute suspension flow in stirred tank are measured by using three-dimensional PDA (Particle Dynamic Analyzer). A computational fluid dynamics two-fluid model (k- epsilon -kp) including the turbulent energy transfer of solid phase is employed to predict the turbulent solid-liquid flow in stirred tank.
