摘要

Simulations of the velocity field of Wu River at Fulin city by the Shallow Water Equation (SWE) have been successfully implemented on a cluster of workstations. Parallel computing technique is exploited to increase the computing power. The SWE is discretized to a linear system and a direct parallel GMRES method is used to solve the linear system in parallel. Unlike other parallel GMRES method, this direct method does not alter the sequential algorithm, but base the parallelization on the parallelization of basic operations such as matrix-vector product.
