摘要

This paper shows methods of investigation to examine and detect the causes of the high scatters of pull out test of multi filament yarns out of a concrete matrix. With the help of the so called Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy (LSM) and the Back Scattering Analysis (SEM) the specimens used for the pull out tests are examined in order to find relations between possible damage mechanisms, failure mechanisms and the maximum pull out load reached during the test. With the help of these analyzing methods, a clear correlation is found and mechanisms are detected which cause the high coefficient of variation of the pull out test results.
