The RTP/UDP/IP packet multiplexing scheme is combined with the DiffServ model to guarantee QoS deterioration problems over VoIP. The newly defined RTP/UDP/IP packets, namely, L_packets are proposed using DiffServ that are multiplexed at ingress routers to offer real-time communication services. To guarantee end-to-end QoS requirements, we obtain end-to-end delay requirements over a simple network topology. To prove the effectiveness of the proposed mechanism, we performed a simulation with varying the value of various parameters to evaluate the trend of the end-to-end QoS of the realtime voice traffics using network simulator (NS). The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed multiplexing scheme guarantees end-to-end QoS.
