摘要

A major reason for information systems failing to meet user expectations is linked to problems in requirement elicitation. Teaching and learning of requirement elicitation skills is an important activity in systems analysis and design courses. Electronic brainstorming, compared to traditional discussions, was found to result in improved quality and quantity of contributions. We employed electronic brainstorming in a number of tutorial sessions of a course on object-oriented analysis and design. In this paper we report some of our experiences related to the process of elicitation of requirements from a case study. Analyzing the session progress and its outcomes, we found that benefits from such a use have exceeded expectations.
