The rationality of anti-seepage reinforcement technology is discussed in the case of Binghu reservoir in Xinjiang, against the seepage problem in deep foundation which is com-mon in northwest of China. According to finite element analysis and operational evaluation,compared with the reinforcement, before and after dam seepage behavior has significantly im-proved while phreatic lines decreased and gradient reduced significantly in the key place, but the seepage behavior will be changed heavily once destructing in geomenbranes. In a word,and impermeable geomembrane technology of adding geomembranes for earth dam on deep foundation is reasonable and effective, and it is proposed to strengthen the protection and monitoring of geomembranes.
