Yanshan reservoir as one of nineteen key projects for Huai-River-Governance deter-mined by State Council, its automatic monitoring system of sluice gate is an important inte-grated part of the reservoir general automation. In this paper, based on the current technolo-gy of computer-controlled application, the key technologies of the automatic monitoring sys-tem of sluice gate, such as real-time performance, reliability, maintainability, practicality,security, scalability, variability and so on, are studied in-depth, to guarantee the system's safe and reliable operation. Thus the decision-making, accuracy, scientific of the flood con-trol decision-making and management are greatly improved, to maximum guarantee the safe,efficient operation of reservoir.
