摘要

Alternative energy sources such as fuel-cell, photovoltaic, wind power etc. requires a grid-connected inverter (GCI) as interfacing equipment to feed the AC power to utility. There are various methods to control grid connected inverters. In order to control the gate pulse of various semiconductor devices of a grid connected inverters, one cycle control (OCC) method is used which is a universal method. Due to its fast speed, simplicity, stability, and universal adoptability, one cycle control promises unmatched performance, lower cost, and high reliability. This paper explains that grid connected inverters using one cycle control provides sinusoidal inverter output current with lower THD and unity power factor operation and better operation compared to conventional control method.
