This paper focuses on dynamic characteristics of AWJ, such as water and particle velocities for flow downstream under steady state, turbulent, two-phase and three-phase flow conditions. The jet-characteristics comparisons between submerged and non-submerged jet are performed. The CFD simulation is carried out to gam an insight into the jet characteristics and a fundamental understanding of the formation process under condition of high-pressure. It lays the foundation for the design of high-pressure water jet.
