摘要

The main regular features exhibited by plastic deformation localization on the macro-scale level have been established for tensile single r-Fe crystals with the aid of speckle photography. The deforming material is found to reveal a macro-localization behavior at all the flow stages, no matter what its composition or deformation mechanism involved (dislocation glide or twinning). It is found that localized plasticity waves would be generated in the deforming material. The experimental values of wave velocity and wavelength are discussed. The effect of interstitial impurity (nitrogen or carbon) content and extension axis orientation on the parameters of plastic deformation localization is investigated.
