摘要

The 50Mnl8Cr4WN austenic steel is widely used for turbine-generator retaining rings in China. In this paper, the stress corrosion and corrosion fatigue behavior of 50Mnl8Cr4WN steel in 3. 5%NaCl, 80℃ water and 85% humid air mediums has been studied. It is found that stress corrosion cracking (SCC) could occur in almost all the three mediums, but the 80 ℃ water is the most sensitive medium for SCC and corrosion fatigue crack propagation. It is also found that the mechanism of SCC and corrosion fatigue in these mediums is the mixture of anode dissolution and hydrogen embrittlement.
