摘要

With the unveiling of the 21st century, rapid advancements in technology have been manifested in the manufacturing sector. The modern manufacturing methodology is E-Manufacruring wherein a perfect synchronization of conventional methods & modern technologies is made. Some of the potential field E-Manufacturing technologies like rapid prototyping, CAD, automated casting and rolling machines & reverse engineering are being introduced more widely in the industry. E-Manufacturing has not metmorphed only the conventional mechanical domain but also the non conventional manufacturing segments like JEWELLERY MANUFACTURING, furniture manufacturing & fashion design where the contemporary techniques used to be in vague. In the present work, the change in the conventional jewellery manufacturing cycle is highlighted using Rapid Prototyping & CAD concepts. The effective use of these technologies has changed the way designers used to work. Now with the help of parametric modeling of jewellery, production cycle time has been reduced drastically with the matching betterment of the quality of the work.The need of the hour is the deployment of the web enabled solution which renders the Time-To-Market to be minimum for enhanced productivity & faster market approval.
