摘要

In the growing economy of India, implementing supply chain is a real tough task, owing to dynamic nature of problems. These problems have managerial, financial and technical implications. In this scenario the subject of Information Technology can not be viewed only as a tool for Management information System but it has to be viewed as a tool to improve customer satisfaction and efficient inventory management. An attempt is made to study the applications of IT in Supply chain perspective in the context of India highlighting some of the problems. Based on this an agenda for future research is also spelt out.
