摘要

In order to achieve the goal of waste treatment during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the basic data of the volume of municipal solid waste generated and their composition during the games must be obtained. To this end, based on the investigation of the current situation of municipal solid waste management in Beijing and the situation of municipal solid waste in the former Olympic Games, we predicates the volume and composition of municipal solid waste in urban areas of Beijing as well as in the Olympic Village and in the competition venues during the games, using the methods of environmental engineering and mathematical statistics. Then we put forward the countermeasures for the management of municipal solid waste during the Olympic Games, so as to provide reference for the city to treat the municipal solid waste during the games in a scientific, safe and economic way.
