A new principle of curved surface turning technology, constantly tangential NC (Numerical Control) turning technology for curved surface, is put forward in order to eliminate the effect of form error of tool nose during the turning process of curved surface. By it, the principle error of ordinary turning is avoided and the turning process is optimized. The technical routes realizing the technology are illustrated in this paper, at the same time, some key points of realizing the technology are introduced and analyzed in detail, such as the construction of constantly tangential NC turning system, the design of tool carrier, the control method of the system and so on.
