摘要

A novel method of evolutionary multi-objective optimization with expert rules was proposed, which can deal with the physical behaviour of structures, materials and technological requirements simultaneously. The new algorithm is incorporated into expert knowledge, which is an elegant way to guide the algorithm towards the feasible global optimum, instead of letting it search for the admissible domain. Simultaneously, the given expert rules can be used to repair the members of the population violating those rules within the optimization process. Furthermore, Davis and Putnam's algorithm is implemented to check the logical consistency of rule bases. Afterwards, the standard multi-objective evolutionary algorithms are utilized to develop design system. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the validity of evolutionary multi-objective optimization with expert rules. Detailed analysis of the certain Pareto solutions and the initial design is illustrated. The successful implementation in mechanical design testifies the feasibility of the theories and methods and provides another practical tool of multi-objective optimization for evolutionary algorithms comity.
