Vehicle dynamics, which is also named as active safety of the vehicle, mainly consists of the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle such as handling, braking and accelerating ability, and driving burden. How to configure the vehicle model, how to design and improve the chassis and the other components, how to improve the dynamic performance of the vehicle, how to decrease the manual burden of the driver and how to achieve active safety of the vehicle are always the mainly research aspects of the scientists concerned. The simulation and control of vehicle dynamics is the key technology of configuring the model of the vehicles, controlling the active safety of the car, applying the concurrent design between the vehicle and the components manufacturer and integrating the new-generation chassis control system in the course of design. For many years, it has been the significant aspect for the advanced automobile country such as USA, Europe and Japan to strengthen their competition ability. In this paper, the new progresses in automobile dynamic simulation technology of the world since 90s last century have been reviewed.
