摘要

Automotive enterprises are being forced into greater collaboration with customers and suppliers in order to produce high-quality products in smaller batches, shorter lead times and with greater variety. This paper shows a virtual design and manufacturing framework for automotive panels based on Virtual Manufacturing, presents a new design methodology by the combination of Virtual Manufacturing and Mass Customization. The research on key techniques under this framework, including virtual design, manufacturability simulation and especially tool path evolutionary for CNC machining, is helpful for the automobile enterprises to develop read-for-market products on the very first run, and with product profitability.
