摘要

The idea of ontology is introduced into knowledge representation for stamping process to support knowledge sharing and reuse, which means knowledge is expressed abstractly as domain ontology according to the characteristics of stamping process. Stamping process domain ontology is an explicit and elaborate description of a conceptualization in the stamping process domain, i.e. it is with five elements: concepts, relations, attributes, rules and instances, whose further definitions are also given out. The formalized description of stamping process domain ontology is presented by BNF formulations, which are the representation of domain ontology and the basis of ontology construction. The function of stamping process domain ontology is generalized as knowledge sharing, reuse and standardization. Domain ontology is constructed by abstracting and describing concepts, relations, attributes, rules and instances from stamping process, and is stored within relational database. An illustrative example is included to demonstrate the operation of the proposed approach and show effectiveness in knowledge representation for stamping process.
