The present paper evaluates the reliability of the offshore platform structures subjected to ice load, considering the uncertainties of diameter and thickness of jacket legs, modulus of elasticity of the steel, yield strength of the steel and ice force. The performance requirements of structural safety, equipment serviceability and human comfort are considered, which are evaluated by the maximum displacement of the deck, the maximum nominal and stable stress of the components under the extreme static ice load, and the acceleration of the deck under the dynamic ice load. The optimization algorithms are used to calculate the reliability of the offshore platforms. The reliability of several performance requirements of JZ20-2 MUQ platform in Bohai Bay are calculated, and the results show that this platform has relatively high capacity to resist failure, ensure equipment serviceability and even human comfort.
