In order to maintain the quality of engineering education and engineering practices, it is important to understand the domain of applicability and the limitations of any tool or theory to be used, and fuzzy logic is no exception. The objective of this work is to present practicing engineers and engineering educators with a unified, critical, and balanced view of fuzzy logic.
